Camels are big, smelly four-legged creatures that walk around the desert. They are usually used as beasts of burden and are characterized by having either one or two humps upon their back wherein they store water. The double-humped camels are indigenous to Central Asia, while the single-humped camel can be found in the Middle East. A camel's fur and fatty deposits are what make them ideal animals for traversing harsh, arid terrain.

  • Werewolf of London: Wilfred Glendon and his colleague Hugh Renwick traveled through Tibet in search of a rare flower known as mariphasa lupine lumina. A team of coolies served as guides to Doctor Glendon and Renwick and used camels to bring their equipment across the rough terrain.
